Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for checking out my "Spouses Caring for Veterans" blog.  The purpose of this blog is to give support to spousal caregivers of veterans.  Spousal caregiving is one of the hardest caregiving jobs there is.  This is a place for learning about health issues and how to take time for yourself, to "sound off" about problems and/or frustrations you have, sharing ideas for coping with your caregiving role, links to websites and other blogs for further information and/or assistance, remembrance of our loved ones who have left us and pictures of anything related to spousal caregiving.

Please tell us about yourself, particularly the condition for which you are caring for your veteran spouse (this is so that others who may have similar situations can share concerns, experiences and issues).  In this way, we can all help each other.  Pictures of you & your spouse are always welcome ~ in that way, we can put faces to names!

As always, we need to let others know that there is a place where we can go for assistance in our caregiving role, specific to our unique situation.  I would appreciate it if you know of others who are also caring for their veteran spouses, be it young or old, please share this blog with them.

We now have many young veterans coming back from the Middle East with injuries and mental health issues.  This blog is also for them.

I hope you find this blog helpful in dealing with the unique position you now find yourself in.  God bless you for your care of those who have served us well.
